Choosing the right material

Selecting a polyethylene grade

PE300, PE500 and PE1000 differ mainly in molecular weight, which affects wear and impact behaviour.

Sheet or rod?

Sheet lines bunkers, silos and chutes, or is machined into wear strips and pads. Rod is machined into pulleys, bushes and washers.

Replacing metal components

Engineering plastics can offer advantages over steel in sliding, wear and corrosion duties. Discuss the application before switching material.

Food-contact applications

HDPE cutting boards are supplied in FDA-approved material. Confirm the grade required for your process before ordering.
